Asi had her revolutionary war presentation and she absolutely killed it! Too bad we couldn’t see it because it was kids only. But a nice parent, Carrie Yee, sent us these amazing pictures!

Spring Street BBQ-Chinese American Museum
We took you and the boys to Spring Street BBQ in Chinatown. We walked over to Olivera Street and found the Chinese American Museum. It is on the spot of part of the Original China Town. China Town was demolished to make way for Union Station. It had so many stories of the struggles that the Chinese people went through in the United States. How hated they were. Not that long ago your family faced persecution because of their race and they fought hard so that you can have the freedom’s that you enjoy today. It use to be that it would have been illegal for your father and I to have you because I am white and he is Chinese. I hope you don’t forget the sacrifices that your ancestors on both sides of your family made and honor them accordingly.
Qin’s Terra Cotta Warriors Exhibit at the Bower’s Museum
On Saturday, August 16th, Yeh-Yeh, Ma Ma, Daddy, Mommy, Julius, Jared and you went to the Terra Cotta Soldier’s exhibit from China. It was the largest one outside of China. It was pretty amazing and you’re behavior was perfect! You liked seeing the bronze horses. You noticed that the faces were Chinese faces and that made you feel proud. You love being Chinese! Yeh-Yeh and Ma Ma bought Julius a replica of the bronze horses and Jared a calligraphy set. The boys were very thankful and really enjoyed the exhibit.
Uncle Michael and Auntie Maggie’s 30th Anniversary
Was at the San Gabriel Valley Hilton Hotel on Friday, August 15th. The slide show was amazing and the evening celebrated thirty years of love. You loved dancing on the dance floor and playing with Cayden and Kaiya. You are part of a very special and loving family and it is my hope that you will recognize and cherish this!
Annual Dodger Game With the Boys
Happend August 12th, 2008. They played the Phillies and we sat in the all you can eat section of right field. Dodgers won during the 9th by a run from Russell Martin, mommy’s favorite Dodger. All eight of us went and you especially enjoyed the cotton candy!
